The Michigan Lottery says that it will be offering Powerball very
soon – possibly as soon as late January or February. So, stay tuned
for more jackpots and more excitement!!
We will be adding Powerball to all of our current selections.
So you will be able to order: All Mega Millions, All Classic Lotto,
and now All Powerball. For split plays we will now offer 3 choices
of split plays: (1) half Mega Millions and half Classic Lotto; (2)
half Powerball and half Classic Lotto; and (3) half Powerball and
half Mega Millions.
One of the very cool options in Powerball is the Power Play option,
but the cost of those tickets is double. It won’t double what we have to charge, but it will be more, so we will start by only offering pools with the regular tickets and will see how the requests come in for the Power Play tickets.
But in the meanwhile, here is how it works: A number between
2 and 5 is drawn. That number is a multiplier that multiplies
all non-jackpot winnings by that number. So, if the multiplier
or Power Play number is 3 and a ticket wins $10,000, the prize
would be increased to $30,000. That prize could go as high as
$50,000. If all five white balls are hit, the prize is automatically
moved up to $1 million or 5 times the regular prize.
So, watch for emails and check our website for further updates.
