Pooling Programs

If you are new to PowerPick, we recommend you go to our Getting Started Page.

PowerPick offers 8 week, 4 week and 1 week pooling selections. They are listed in the three tables shown below. These pools are referred to as PowerPools. PowerPick has one other type of pool, which is referred to as a MegaPool and it is a FREE bonus to which each pooling participant is assigned. A full explanation of the MegaPool follows the PowerPool tables shown below.

You may order by mail or over the phone with a credit card, debit card, or check. We can get you into the next drawing and your numbers will be mailed to you the same day your order is received. You may also register under the Member Area on this web site, where you will be able to view the tickets you share and the winnings, resulting from those tickets, after each drawing.

The Pick / Powerball / or Both Options:

You can choose to make any selection ALL The Pick™, ALL Powerball® or Split (half of each).  If you choose to split your selection, although the total tickets will remain the same, you will have half as many chances per drawing, but twice as many drawings.

PowerPick’s MegaPool

800 More Chances to Win Powerball Every Month — A FREE Bonus Pool that can provide you with a small fortune.

What is the MegaPool all about?

The MegaPool is a free bonus for all active pooling players.  Each MegaPool is a separate pool of 100 Powerball tickets that are purchased every Wednesday and Saturday night. This pool is a FREE bonus and is in addition to each player’s PowerPool.  Thus, each person whose selection lasts for four weeks has an additional 800 chances to win a small fortune.  The MegaPool does not apply to personal subscription orders.

Each MegaPool is made up of approximately 800 -1,200 players.  Every active PowerPick pooling player is included in the MegaPool! (Even if their PowerPool is only for the statewide lottery.)

With each PowerPick selection you are assigned to one of the MegaPools. So, with multiple orders you can be in more than one MegaPool and/or you may have more than one share in any given MegaPool.

As a result of high jackpots, the number of players in each MegaPool can easily exceed 1,200. With an average of 1,000 players and with a jackpot of $100,000,000 the average share would be $50,000 (tickets are purchased under the cash option). The second place of $200,000 would have an average share of $200. Individual shares of the prizes will vary depending on the pooling selection chosen (see “How will the prizes be shared?” below).  Taxes will be taken out by the State of Arizona prior to distribution.

Frequently Asked Questions About the MegaPool

Q: When will the Powerball tickets be purchased?
A: The tickets will be purchased every applicable drawing night.

Q: Which MegaPool am I in?
A: Your Confirmation Certificate will display your pool letter in the upper right corner. If you have multiple orders you may be in multiple MegaPools and/or you may have more than one share in a MegaPool.

Q: Will the same tickets be purchased each night and do the MegaPool numbers stay the same each month?
A: The same Powerball tickets will be purchased each applicable night. So, if you are going to mark up your sheet, you should first make a copy so you have a fresh sheet for the next drawing the tickets are purchased. The numbers are kept the same during each calendar year.

Q: Do I have to check the numbers and how will I know if I win?
A: We check the numbers after every lottery night. If there is a Jackpot or $100,000 winner we will send you a claim form within five business days.  For all prizes below $100,000, your share of the winnings will appear on your Winnings Statement.

Q: Which prizes will be shared?
A: All prizes.

Q: How will the prizes be shared?
A: 100% of all prizes in a MegaPool will be distributed to all active players assigned to that MegaPool and PowerPick to the extent that it owns any shares.  Your share will be based on the cost per drawing night for your pooling selection (for The Pick, Powerball and Pick 5 tickets) relative to the cost per drawing for the shares owned by others.  All costs per drawing night are equal to the order form price list divided by the number of drawing nights for the main selection (Powerball and/or The Pick, which is either 2, 8 or 16 nights).  The exact Winnings Distribution Formula is available upon request.

Note: All questions concerning the interpretation of MegaPool rules will be decided by PowerPick. Rules subject to change.

PowerPick’s $100 Million Dollar Club

1,000 ticket pool for
only $1!

Here's how it works:

We will purchase up to 5 blocks of 1,000 tickets (yessirree - that's THOUSANDS OF TICKETS) on EVERY drawing night the Powerball jackpot is estimated to be $100 MILLION or more. In addition you can purchase up to 3 shares in each block, which makes your share of the prize 3 times greater!

We will try to keep the number of shares in each pool to about 1,200 (plus or minus about 100 to produce an approximate range of 1100 to 1300 shares) to cover the extra costs for postage, printing, labor and phone costs. So, if there are 1,200 shares in the pool, then each prize will be divided 1,200 ways. And, of course, all the prizes, not just the jackpot, will be distributed.

How do you pay for this great opportunity?

On each drawing night we will look to see who is signed up and we will deduct the amount they have authorized from their available balance. Each share in 1,000 tickets will cost $1 on each night the tickets are purchased. Thus:

1,000 tickets = $1
2,000 tickets = $2
up to 5,000 tickets for $5.

In addition, you can purchase 2 or 3 shares instead of just 1 share for an additional $1 per share per 1,000 tickets. Additional shares will give you a larger piece of each prize. Thus, when the jackpot is divided by all the shares, the person with 2 shares will get twice as much as the person with one share.

So, you can spend from as little as $1 per night the tickets are purchased up to $15 per night (5 pools x 3 shares).

Example:
1 pool & 1 share = $1 per night
1 pool & 2 shares = $2 per night
1 pool & 3 shares = $3 per night

2 pools & 1 share = $2 per night
2 pools & 2 shares = $4 per night
2 pools & 3 shares = $6 per night
etc.

If you don’t have sufficient funds in your pooling account with PowerPick, you can give us permission to tap your bank card or checking account so you won’t miss out. When we look for additional funds the minimum amount that will be transferred into your pooling account will be $10. Once the funds are transferred, we will only use the funds as necessary, and any unused balance, of course, will remain in your account for your future use. Once the jackpot reaches $100 million, it doesn’t last many drawings so $10 will more than likely be more than you need if you are spending just $1 per night.

Note: If the only money you have available will not be sufficient to cover the number of pools and shares, we will use what you have to first put you in the number of pools, then the number of shares. If you give us permission to use electronic transfer to transfer the funds from your checking account and the electronic transfer comes back with insufficient funds, the withdrawal attempt will stop.

Who and how many can participate?

Anyone who has a pooling selection active on the night we buy these tickets can participate.

How can you participate?

It's very simple - you can let us know your preferences by mail or phone.

Pools and Shares are Subject to Availability

We won’t know until the day of the drawing just how many tickets we can purchase and how many shares a person can get. The computer program (which we love and could never do without - bless its little heart) will take all the requests and will give everyone the number of tickets and number of shares up to what has been requested. So, the number of pools and number of shares you will receive will depend on how many pools we can afford to purchase and what is available to allocate.

Announcement of Pool and Share Assignments - How will I know the numbers?

The computer program will determine all pool assignments at the end of the work day (but before the drawing). So, please do not call our office to find out what pools you have been assigned to. Not only will we not know until the work day is over, but we will not be able to handle that call volume while we are preparing for the drawing.

We will post the pool assignments by ID number on our web site at www.powerpick.com on the Million Dollar Club Assignments page. The winning results, of course will appear on your Winnings Statements as usual. If you do not have a computer, perhaps a friend or relative can tell you which pools you are in. It will only take them a moment to check for you. Because most players don’t care to check thousands of numbers and due to the costs, we will not be sending out copies of all the numbers except by individual request.

Participation Deadline

You must have an active play and have your preferences into us by 12:00pm noon on Wednesday and 4:00pm on Friday. This will allow us enough time to organize the pools and purchase the tickets.

New 3 Digit Coding After ID Number

To help you know your preferences we have added a 3 digit code that follows your ID number.

Position 1 - "A" or "U" for Authorized or Unauthorized to tap your payment source.
Position 2 - Number of pools requested.
Position 3 - "S" "D" or "T" for Single, Double or Triple shares requested.

Note: All questions concerning the interpretation of the $100 Million Dollar Club rules will be decided by PowerPick. Rules subject to change.
