Holiday 'Cheery' Cobbler

A great recipe from Powerpick.

What's cheerier than cherries for the holidays? This yummy cherry cobbler will become a go-to dessert for any time, but young and old will enjoy it warmed with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

INGREDIENTS:

1 can of cherry pie filling

1 pkg of yellow or white cake Jiffy mix (may substitute half a box of a Betty Crocker or Duncan Hines mix)

1/2 cup chopped walnuts

1/2 cup butter

DIRECTIONS:

Spray an 8 x 8 pan with cooking spray.
Add the canned cherries.
Sprinkle the cake mix over all.
Cut the stick of butter into thin slices and place it all over the top of the cake mix.
Then sprinkle with the chopped walnuts.
Bake at 325 for 1 hour. Serve warm and enjoy!!
