Ever since the Arizona Lottery changed the Pick 5 game to a roll-over jackpot, we’ve seen some really exciting jackpots up for grabs. This game begins with a $50,000 jackpot and rolls from there.

The jackpot continued to climb last month until it topped out on July 10 with a whopping, record-breaking $667,000 kitty up for grabs. A single ticket was sold in Chandler to claim the prize.

PowerPick members went after this climbing jackpot for several weeks before it got picked off. During that time, we had $500 second place winners a total of SIX times. Our Pick 5 “Kicker” pools offer 25 tickets for 5 bucks in a group of 10 players for 1 night.

Multiples of this are also available, and when jackpots reach really high amounts, and the demand is great, we offer even better deals on multiple pools.

It was great fun buying up lots of tickets and watching the results to see how we did. Part of what made it even more fun was the camaraderie with our members. We were in it to win it…together. Talk of trips, trucks and all different plans for the winnings were shared. Sadly, it wasn’t ours to share this time, but we sure had some close calls and lots of fun.

Remember that Pick 5 is an Arizona only game with odds of winning the jackpot about 34 times easier than the big jackpot, multi state games. PowerPick has snagged 1 jackpot (so far) and hit the second prize of $500 a total of 213 times (so far).

This game is a winner for sure.

Those of you with internet access can play these Kicker pools on a daily basis, when available, but even if you don’t have a computer, or access to one, you can play daily by just attaching a Pick 5 pool to your regular PowerPlay selection. We also offer a Pick ‘N Pool selection that’s all Pick 5 for 5 weeks at a time. Both of these options are available in groups of 10 players.

We are offering lots of flexibility with this game, due to its winnable nature. You can now add as little as $1 to your 1 month PowerPlay selection and receive 1 ticket per drawing night…that’s 24 total nights, 24 tickets…in a group of 50. For every $1 you add, you get another 24 tickets for the four weeks of play. For instance, if you added $10, you would receive 10 tickets a night for 24 nights, a total of 240 tickets.

Neat, huh? Pick 5 is played Monday-Saturday nights, so you would be included in a pool six nights a week for every week of your play.

Mega Millions Pools!

The Arizona Lottery began to offer the multi state Mega Millions game this past April, and we jumped right in with pooling at the same time. Some of our members are still not sure what this game is all about or if we offer it. So here’s a bit of background.

Mega Millions is a multi state game, much like the Powerball game. Currently, it is played in 42 states. There is a set of white balls numbered 1-56 and a set of gold balls numbered 1-46. To win the jackpot, you must match 5 white balls and the gold ball. So you can see the similarities with the Powerball game here. The odds of winning a Mega Millions jackpot is about 10% easier than the Powerball game. The second place prize in Mega is $250,000 ($50,000 higher than Powerball) and the odds are 24% easier.

So if you’re a fan of the high jackpot game, you might definitely want to look into joining a Mega Millions pool. For every selection that we have, we have the same ones available for Mega Millions, (except we are not offering the Megaplier at this time). In addition to that, you can split your current option to include a Mega Millions pool, or you can ADD a Mega Millions option to your current PowerPlay pool for a very small amount.
